
One-Day Externship Workshop // Sept 2025
KPS3 is currently accepting applications for our one-day externship workshop program taking place Friday, September 26, 2025.

This is KPS3’s one-day externship program—this time with a workshop twist. Think of it as a crash course for anyone curious about how a marketing agency works. Representatives from different divisions will rotate in to lead sessions, share insights, and guide hands-on activities to give participants a well-rounded, engaging experience. We'll end the day with a one-hour group Q&A session with all of the participants and a few extra KPS3 folks to answer any follow-up questions.
Our externship programs are offered twice a year and is open to anyone looking to get into the Advertising and Marketing industry.

What to Expect (and not expect)
Expect to gain perspective from marketing professionals on what they do best. Expect to be with people who genuinely care about helping you. Expect to get all of your questions answered and to have a good time with some great people. Don’t expect to get credits, to get hired on the spot (I mean, it could happen, but probably not), or to leave with anything epic for your portfolio. Whatever experience you end up getting will be real, and it will be with someone who is interested in helping you.
THE FOLLOWING ARE BRIEF DESCRIPTIONS OF THE DIVISIONS YOU MAY ENCOUNTER THROUGHOUT THE DAY:
Account Services - The captains of the ship (thankfully). The Account Services department works closely with clients and internal departments to deliver strategic and creative work. They ensure solid collaboration cross-department and cross-team on everything from websites and campaigns to ongoing paid media and more.
Creative - Designers, copywriters, videographers, art directors, creative directors—the Creative department brings together a myriad of different disciplines to create campaigns, ads, design websites, and establish brand identity to promote products and services to target audiences.
Finance - The team that keeps us all going! The Finance department handles the overall financial health of the agency. They control cash flow, income, expenditures, and make sure we're sailing smoothly with as few mishaps as humanly possible.
Growth Marketing - Proud data nerds. The Growth Marketing department works with clients on search engine optimization, search engine marketing, digital advertising, custom tracking and attribution in order to achieve their goals. These spreadsheet lovers also work closely with the creative and social teams to build powerful digital campaigns.
Public Relations - The people… people. They’re strategic, they’re great in a crisis, they work to understand and manage attitudes and general consumer sentiment. The Public Relations department is all about communication and management of our client’s overall brand and reputation.
Web Development - Programmers! (Not IT.) They are the front and back-end developers that turn projects into functional applications and websites by writing, testing, debugging, and maintaining. The development world is constantly changing, so this department focuses heavily on ways to consistently improve workflow, coding practices, and our overall tech stack.
